Internet Nasa-watchers were horrified to see what seemed to be evidence that the space agency has done deals behind humanity’s back with Doctor Who’s enemies, the Daleks.
Nasa was quick to reassure web users that it had not done a deal with the cyborgs from the planet Skaro. The Dalek-like objects are the main engines from now-retired Space Shuttles, being brushed up for a new career as part of Nasa’s upcoming SLS, the most powerful rocket ever built.
It’s the first time all 15 Shuttle main engines have been together, says Nasa.

The sight of the unusual Dalek-like rockets sparked concern on the internet, with site iO9 claiming that they could be ‘incognito Daleks’ waiting for a sign to activate and begin yelling, ‘Exterminate!’
