Pass me the factor ca-nine! New doggy sunblock aims to prevent pet skin cancer
We all know how damaging the sun’s powerful ultraviolet rays can be to our skin, and how important it is to lather up in suncream in order to avoid the risk of skin cancer.
But what about the threats the sun can pose to our four-legged friends?
Research shows that dogs are just as likely as humans to get skin cancer, and that a third of all tumours in canines are sun-related.
But since our suncream contains a chemical that is toxic to dogs there has never been a solution to the problem, short of keeping pets indoors during summer months. Until now.

Not in the eyes! Petkin’s sunscreen for dogs comes in wipe, spray and stick form, making even those hard-to-reach muzzle spots easy to coat
